A Golden Field of Radioactive Crows
2001 - Fools of the World

This is a really fun record. Finely crafted pop. Smart hooks, Great melodies. Big, loud fun. In many ways, this album feels like a collection of singles; nearly every track has that "radio ready" feel to it. Musically, the record looks more to modern rock than any other release in recent memory.

For most of the 90's, there has always been a sense of despair and anguish lyrically; content has been rooted for the most part in personal experience with a spiritual yearning. Now on Crows the 7's have succeeded in putting forth a 100% Anguish-Free record. Themes are firmly rooted in the spiritual - no less poetic, but much less grounded in human experience.

Prior to the release of this record, a singles collection was released entitled Radioactive Singles featuring alternate takes of "Related" and "Mr. Magoo". And following that, another release entitled Late was issued featuring all of Radioactive Singles and ep, as well as some tracks that didn't make the cut on Mike Roe's solo record It's For You - the band apparently taking some marketing strategies from Ian Anderson.
